The Sydney Flames can announce Zoey Miller has signed on as a development player for WNBL26.

The 5’10” guard arrives fresh off a standout season with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, where she steered the team to the NBL1 East title and on to the national finals. Just 21 years old, Miller has already proven she can control tempo, lift her team’s energy, and step up in big moments.

A dream realised

For Miller, putting pen to paper with the Flames carries extra meaning.

“It honestly means so much to me. I grew up watching the Flames, so to now be signing as a development player feels really special. It’s something I’ve wanted to be a part of for a long time, and I’m grateful for the opportunity,” she says.

“I’m super excited to work with the new coaches and teammates, and to learn and grow not only as a basketball player but also as a person. I can’t wait to challenge myself every day, soak up as much as I can, and contribute wherever I’m needed.”

Coach Molloy on Miller

Flames Head Coach, Guy Molloy said Miller’s maturity and leadership qualities set her apart.

“Zoey really impressed me through our Future Flames program this year with her speed, skill, and poise. As the starting point guard for the Manly Sea Eagles, she led that team with maturity beyond her years to an NBL1 East title and then onto the national finals.

“Zoey has a big future in the game.”
