The Gems, which also features Flame #228 Bonnie Deas, defeated Brazil 87-59 at the Starez Arena Vodova Hall.

Leading the way for the Gems were Maddison Ryan (22 points), Sitaya Fagan (15) and Deas (13).

From a statistical perspective, the game was won by Australia thanks to their dominance in rebounds (53-41 - including 17 offensive), assists (27-9), points off turnovers (27-8), fast break points (20-8) and bench points (30-6).
