"I felt we built a great following by the end of the season and we're all keen to build on that connection to Sydney and our loyal fans."

This round three showdown presents the Hoops Capital side a quick chance to make amends for Saturday's last-up loss to Southside.

"[Against the Flyers] we had a raft of self-inflicted errors, which no doubt comes with the territory of being a young team that lacks composure at time," Molloy said.

"I know you're never going to play the perfect game of basketball but if we take seven or eight of those turnovers away, Saturday potentially has a different result.

"But full credit to the girls, they responded well on the training court this week, despite the short turn-around, being sharp and willing to make changes for the good of the team."

Awaiting Molloy's harbour city side will be the league-leading Spirit, who are 3-0 on the season.

"Bendigo, much like Southside, is an experienced team, full of veterans, so we know they're going to be up for the fight," Molloy said.

"It's going to be as much of a mental game as a physical one and I know our group will be ready."
