Sydney Flames duo Mikaela Ruef and Cayla George have both been rewarded for their strong game one performances against the UC Capitals, by being acknowledged by the WNBL.
Ruef, in her return game for the Hoops Capital club, was named the competition's Player of the Round, after tallying 25 points (on 9/11 shooting), 10 boards, five dimes and two steals in Sunday's win at Qudos Bank Arena.

This also saw Flame #161 named in the Team of the Round, alongside teammate George, who added 23 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks in the victory.

Joining the two Flames in the Team of the Round are Bendigo's Sami Whitcomb, Perth's Anneli Maley and Southside's Alice Kunek.
The Flames' next home game will be their first game at Quaycentre for WNBL25, hosting Bendigo from 7pm - with tickets still available here.
